What We Do

Women-Centered Community Empowerment Structures

Titiaka Boressa has empowered over 3,200 women by forming 105+ Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs), promoting grassroots economic growth through savings, financial literacy, and micro-investments in agriculture and entrepreneurship, while fostering solidarity and inclusive decision-making.

Sustainable Agricultural and Agroecological Advocacy

The organization trains thousands of smallholder farmers, mainly women, in agroecological and Good Agronomic Practices (GAP) such as intercropping, tree regeneration, organic seed use, and climate-smart farming to boost yields, enhance soil fertility, and protect biodiversity for sustainable agriculture.

Strategic Partnerships and Resource Mobilization

Titiaka Boressa leverages local and international partnerships to secure grants, training, and equipment, enabling the revival of operations, establishment of shea processing centers, and adoption of modern technologies, strengthening its role in rural development.

OUR IMPACT

OUR IMPACT

Titiaka Boressa Ltd. has formed and built the capacity of 105 women groups by introducing Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLA) with over 3200 membership. This initiative equips women with essential savings and self-financing skills for agricultural and entrepreneurial ventures. Through training in savings, loans, and financial literacy, it promotes a sustainable and resilient approach to local capital mobilization. Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs) foster a savings culture with fixed contributions pooled into a common fund, enabling members to borrow for their financial needs. Training programs enhance financial literacy and entrepreneurial skills, empowering members economically. Regular meetings ensure continuous financial activities and decision-making. This approach significantly mitigated the impact of COVID-19 on the health and livelihoods of women smallholder farmers in 2020.
